Lowepro's "Pro Trekker" range of camera bags, inspired by Lowepro's world famous Trekker series, have received the "Best Camera Bag" title in the 25th annual 'Gear of the Year', an award presented by Bauer's Digital Photo and Practical Photography magazines.
The year-old range of photographic backpacks are advertised as 'a favourite of the top landscape and expedition photographers', including Colin Prior, David Ward and Mark O'Shea.
The Pro Trekker bags are targeted for photographers who usually carry large amounts of heavy photographic equipment in extreme conditions.
Highlights of this award-winning series include the use of technical fabrics to lighten the load, moisture resistance, an integrated All Weather AW Cover, a 10-point adjustment system, unique Pack Jack system, sleeves to protect a range of photographic, expedition and even camping accessories, and a side pocket with a removable, seam-sealed pocket. Every bag in the Pro Trekker series includes a removable laptop-sleeve.
The Pro Trekker AW series includes the Pro Trekker 300 AW, Pro Trekker 400 AW and Pro Trekker 600 AW in the new Mica/Black colour.
Award winner 'Pro-Trekker 400AW'.
Tim Sadler, Category Manager for Lowepro, has been quoted as saying, "We are really pleased that this excellent new addition to the Lowepro range has been recognised. This is one of the largest awards to get in the industry and is voted for by customers and media."
