A while ago, you may recall - the locals are still talking about it! - that Chipping Norton had a rather rare visitor. An Oriental (Rufous) Turtle Dove, having previously been spotted in the UK only a few times before - had decided that it much preferred someone's back garden over it's normal migratery habits.
We launched a competition for the visitors flocking to see the Dove to send in their photographs of the bird, and after extending the deadline several times due to the amount of fantastic images we received, Steve Young came out on top with his stunning picture, which clearly shows the gorgeous colours of the Oriental Turtle Dove.
