Mr Kevin Potter has won the £500 prize for his winning image of Blenheim Palace after a stroke of luck nabled him to capture a fresh view of the World Heritage Site.
The Palace had invited visitors to send in their pictures for it's first amateur competition, then running on the social networking website Facebook. Judges were looking for the photographs which showed the best parts of the visit to the world famous Palace in Woodstock.

Mr Potter's winning image - of the residential Geese taking flight in front of the Palace - beats more than 370 other hopefuls, with photographs featuring unique views of the Palace's architecutre, the gardens, wildlife, peaceful views of the lake, and other unusual places that visitors had explored.

Kevin, who lives near Oxford, remarked that Blenheim Palace is a stunning location for photographers. Visiting for a recent Classic Car show, he confessed that he was rather lucky to get the Geese, given that his camera settings 'were all wrong for a fast moving subject'. He also says that he hopes that more people will be inspired to pick up a camera and snap away - and we at Morris Photographic couldn't agree more!
If you've got a shot of Blenheim Palace that you'd like to share with us, simply email it to rowenna@morrisphoto.co.uk with details of yourself, your camera equipment, and when the shot was taken. If you'd to add your own caption to the photograph, that's more than welcome too!
