Morris Photographic; One Day Offer, Snow (or lack thereof) and Upcoming Events

Goooood morning! :D

While the weather forecast finally caught up with us and we now have the snow we were predicted last week, it's NOT settling (at this time) and it's only a flurry. Our estate is still car-worthy; if you do have any reservations about it nonetheless, there are plenty of free car parks in Chipping Norton and it's a ten minute walk to our shop from the town centre :)

In other news, yours truly - being a bit of a film enthusiast - would like to tell you about our special one-day-only offer;

In other news, (and I know April's a while away yet, but this is too cool to keep quiet about), Cotswold Wildlife Park will be host to an event aimed at beginner wildlife photographers;

Photography for Big Cats will be running photography courses at the Park. These courses are aimed at Wildlife enthusiasts, who would like to get a better understanding about photography and how to capture better images of wildlife.

The 1-day workshops include a detailed theory part, practical exercises and a review of the photos taken by participants on the day. It also includes tuition, lunch, refreshments and entry to the Park. In order to ensure that every participant gets full benefit out of the tuition each group is limited to 8 people. The 1-day workshop costs £135 per person.

For more information or to book then contact info@bigcatphotography.co.uk

There's also an 'Intermediate' version of this course on the 17th May, and lots of other fantastic events at Cotswold Wildlife Park that you can check out by following this link;

Local Astronomy Group Event Tonight;

Sky Watcher Telescopes are proving to be incredibly popular
with Astronomers of all ages! Available for in-store pick-up and mail order.

For any local (or those willing to travel) astronomers;

The Chipping Norton Amateur Astronomy Group (CNAAG) will be holding an observing session at the Rollright Stones from (approx) 7pm onwards tonight (Saturday 2nd). The Moon will rise around 01:20 when it will be alongside Saturn so conditions are great.

Take along a scope, wrap up warm and remember to make yourself known to the first astronomer you see - whaddya know, it's hard to see in the dark :D

Checklist;

Scope
Thermos full of hot drink
Red filter for torches
Something to eat
Something to sit on (cold ground isn't very comfortable)

Please make sure you watch the road carefully - if I remember correctly, the traffic passing the Rollright Stones tends to go quite fast. But, above all, have fun meeting some new friends! :)
