Upcoming Civil War Re-enactment at Blenheim Palace;

From Saturday 25th May to Monday 27th May step back in time to the 17th Century and see the English Civil War come to life with the largest historical re-enactment group in Europe, The Sealed Knot Society.

At Morris Photographic Centre, we love a bit of history, so we'd love to see some of you guys there!

Hosted over the Bank Holiday weekend, we're hoping the weather will hold up so we can all pop along and get some fantastic photos!

Authentic civilian and military living history camps will be open each day from 10.30am to 5pm to explore and experience how the Parliamentarian army used to live, eat and prepare for battle, with fully armed soldiers and an officers tent. See how soldiers would have dressed and what weapons they would have used, and gain an insight into what day to day life would have been like for civilians with fine dining displays, religious services, woodcraft, embroidery, musicians and cookery demonstrations.

At the live arena from 11am to 12.50pm watch demonstrations of how the British Army was formed, featuring the milestone events that took place from 1626 to 1685, with live regimental drills, musketry and displays of military horsemanship. The highlight of each day, taking place from 2pm to 4pm, will be the portrayal of the series of sieges and battles which took place in Woodstock between 1642 and 1646, and will recreate four years of history telling the story about the surrender of Woodstock Manor and how Blenheim Palace came to be built, making this a weekend not to be missed!
