Manfrotto's new MH055M8 Q5 Photo / Video Head is one of the most versatile heads to be released, given that it can be used for either photography or videoing - it can also handle scopes just as effectively. It's also been developed to the ideal solution for the new HD DSLR's with embedded video functions.
The new Photo-Movie selector makes switching from shooting photographs to filming videos immediate, meaning you can take the best of both worlds and carry them around in one convenient package.
• In Photo Mode the head provides the speed and maximum freedom in all direction - or in other words, it's a rather precise, smooth and easily controlled Ball Head, thanks to the fluid cartidges and an adjustable counter balance control.
• Video Mode transforms it into a fully featured video head, which allows for a precise and fluid movement for pan and tilt with all the typical video settings, including friction control. The pan bar's reversible, depending on whether you're left or right handed, and it can be easily and quickly removed and fixed onto the accompanying tripod, thanks to the included rest clip.
